Southbank

Earlier this month, we went to Brisbane's Southbank for the morning. It's a great family place along the river and has playgrounds, cafes and a big pool, a man made beach and markets on the weekend. It is on the site of the World Expo which was held in Brisbane in 1988.

You can see me in Katie's hands - you'll have to look really hard, though, as I'm kind of small!

I went to school!

I went to school in February with Mei and Katie. Mei is in Grade 6 and Katie is in Grade 3. They go to John Paul College. I LOVED their school. There is so much space, tall trees, chairs under trees to sit down on eat their lunch, a lovely new swimming pool, a fab performing arts building, tennis courts, and more!

About us

We live in the Southern suburbs of Brisbane.

This is our house.

We live in an area which is very multicultural. There are people from many countries, but most of them are Asian. We have people from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Korea, India, Pakistan, etc. Many of the shops near us are very Asian and we have MANY Asian restaurants of different styles we can go to. The girls' Chinese school (Saturday mornings) is very close to us.

A long way.

Well, when Stanley landed in Brisbane, he told me he was surprised how far it was away from Blairstown...

The distance is 15,488 kilometers or 9624 miles or 8363 nautical miles and this is the usual route by aeroplane.

Brisbane is on the East Coast of Australia.
